Australian cricketer Travis Head played a superb inning against the West Indies cricket team during the first Test match at Perth Stadium in Perth.
The middle-order batsman provided enough stability with the bat by scoring runs at the rate of knots. Notably, Travis Head totally dominated the game by smashing as many as 11 fours.
Moreover, Travis Head was the only batsman who maintained a strike rate in excess of 100 for Australian cricket team. After scoring a half-century, he was en route to scoring a century.
Needless to say, Travis Head lacked composure as he was dismissed for 99 runs against an occasional spinner, Kraig Brathwaite.

The incident happened during the fourth ball of the 153rd over. Travis Head who was batting on 99 tried to cut the ball very close to the stumps in the first place.
As it turned out, he misjudged the line completely and paid the price. Travis Head was chopped on the line and was bowled by the West Indies captain. Meanwhile, the video clip of the same has gone viral on the internet.
Australia vs West Indies: Travis Head Gets Dismissed For 99 Against Occasional Spinner
Getting dismissed for 99 runs isn’t a good feeling for any batsman. Travis Head was absolutely gutted with the way he played the shot at that time.
Meanwhile, the Australian cricket team find themselves in a comfortable position. They largely benefitted from the services of Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith.
Notably, the duo scored a double century apiece as the hosts declared the innings at 598/4. On the other hand, Kraig Brathwaite accounted for two dismissals for the visitors.
Interestingly, West Indies too have responded pretty well in the first innings. The visitors scored 150/1 in 51 overs at the stroke of the lunch session on Day 2.
