Team India’s stand-in captain KL Rahul won the toss and chose to bat first. The visitors were bowled out for 404 runs in the first innings, thanks to Cheteshwar Pujara’s 90 and Shreyas Iyer’s 86.
The likes of Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav scored 46 and 40 respectively as India posted a pretty good total on the board in the first innings.
The hosts find themselves in a worrisome situation now. They have lost eight wickets already. The Tigers ended Day 2 with 133 for the loss of eight wickets.
