BAN VS IND: Young bowler Yash Dayal and veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja have been disqualified from India’s three-match Bangladesh vs India ODI series, according to a statement released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday.

Yash Dayal, who was given his first call-up to the India team for the series, suffered a lower back injury that prevented him from participating in the Bangladesh vs India tour. Ravindra Jadeja, meanwhile, never fully recovered from the injury he sustained earlier this year. 

Ravindra Jadeja had knee surgery and was therefore unable to compete in the T20 World Cup. Jadeja has been undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) since his operation.

Kuldeep Sen, a fast bowler, and Shahbaz Ahmed, an all-arounder, have been selected by the All-India Senior Selection Committee to replace Yash Dayal and Ravindra Jadeja for the upcoming three-match ODI series of Bangladesh vs India in December.

Yash Dayal is unable to participate in the series due to a lower back issue, and Jadeja is still recovering from a knee injury and will remain under the care of the BCCI Medical team, according to a statement from the BCCI.

Kuldeep Sen and Shahbaz Ahmed have been selected as Bangladesh’s ODI substitutes in the meanwhile. Kuldeep and Shahbaz were originally included in the squad for the three-match ODI series in New Zealand that gets underway on November 25 in Auckland.

They will, however, now be a part of the team going to Bangladesh for the Bangladesh vs India series. The ODI team currently playing in New Zealand has not received any replacements, according to the BCCI. 

The pair was left off the roster for the ODI series against New Zealand since they were travelling to Bangladesh with the team. However, the BCCI reports that the pair will now be a part of the team going to Bangladesh.

The announcement stated that “No replacements have been chosen for the ODI squad currently in New Zealand.” While The two four-day shadow series matches between India A and Bangladesh A. That will begin on November 29 in Cox’s Bazar. Although will be captained by Bengali Abhimanyu Easwaran. 

From December 6 to December 9, the second four-day match will take place in Sylhet. The Test squad members Cheteshwar Pujara and Umesh Yadav will play for India A in the second game to acquire some playing time.
