Inzamam-Ul-Haq Mocks Wasim Akram During a PSL Match, Calls a Him Short-Tempered Person

PSL 2023 season kick-started on the 13th Feb where six franchises will battle against each other till the 19th of March to win the title of the 8th season of the tournament. A total number of 34 matches will be played over the period of one month.

The reigning champions of the PSL, Lahore Qalandars started their campaign by winning with a very small margin of 1 run against Multan Sultans. Lahore Qalandars posted a target of 175 in 20 overs with help of their talisman Fakhar Zaman scoring 62 runs off 42 balls.

Currently, Multan Sultans are leading with one win in two games with an NRR of +1.3. Whereas Quetta Gladiators are at the bottom of the table with no wins and an NRR of -2.7.

Today, On the 4th matchday of the tournament Imad Wasim’s Karachi kings will face Shadab Khan‘s Islamabad United at National Stadium Karachi.

Inzamam-ul-Haq makes fun of Wasim Akram: “Wasim bhai ko gussa bahut jaldi aata hai”

Inzamam-ul-Haq is a former Pakistani batsman and also, the captain of the Pakistan National Team who became the coach of the national side after retirement. Also known by the nickname Inzi, he was a very destructive hitter of the ball in both formats.

His batting style was very much praised by cricket fans because of his long hits. He was called “the best batsman in the world against pace” by Imran Khan, because “he seems to have so much time on his hands before the ball reaches him”.

In a recent clash between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings, Shahid Afridi asked Inzamam-ul-Haq about Wasim Akram being upset in the dugout. Wasim Akram is the bowling coach of Karachi Kings.

Former captain Shahid Afridi who is now an expert on the broadcasting channel of Pakistan Super League, asked about how tense Akram gets in the last minutes of the game, to which Inzi replied “gets angry very easily”.

“Wasim bhai ko gussa bohot jaldi aata hai. Aur jiss tarah ke alfaaz vo istemaal karte hain, aapko aur Misbah ko idea ho gaya hoga. he said, “You all know Wasim bhai gets angry very quickly. And the kind of words he uses when he is angry…both you and Misbah must know that”.

“In a pressure situation, that kind of thing is normal. And that’s the beauty of this game. Lahore and Multan were equally close. That’s how players learn. Learn how to deal with it because that’s what you get in international cricket. The selector closely monitors the PSL as the pressure levels are similar. That’s a big advantage,” Inzamam further said.
