IND vs AUS: After winning the third Test in Indore, Australia fought back to trim India’s advantage in the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy to 2-1. Although the rank turners employed in the three Tests have been the subject of debate. Michael Kasprowicz, a former Australian pacer, believes that the “hype” is unjustified because the tracks are “normal” of those that visiting teams typically play on in Indian conditions.
India won the first two Tests in Nagpur and Delhi but faced defeat in Indore. All three tests finished on the third day.
“I don’t believe the hype. It was because it was a typical Indian wicket with all the attention on the pitch,” Kasprowicz, one of the driving forces behind Australia’s first Test victory in India in 29 years, told.
“I noticed the last one did some tricks early on in Indore, because they started very early (9:30 o’clock), that little bit of moisture might have helped conquer the ball…but at other times of the day, it did nothing of the sort. ”

Won the match on a poor-rated pitch
India won his first two Tests at Nagpur and New Delhi and the pitch was rated ‘average’ by ICC. Indore’s pitch was rated “poor” as Australia won the match by nine wickets.
Most pundits, including former Australian captains Mark Taylor and Mark Waugh, have also criticized the pitch, especially Indore’s track. Kasprowicz, who was part of Australia’s only team to win India’s only series in 2004, said: “When I say don’t believe the hype, I know you got a weird ball rolling square and bad reviews.
“But I remember attending the 1998 Bangalore test and I have an image of myself standing at the turnstile. Honestly, it looks like a dry stream bed, these crevices and spider crevices are all over the place.”
“And you walk cheerfully as we play. And guess what? We have to adapt and adapt. This is a game of test cricket. ”

Will India enter the WTC title fight?
After losing the Opening Test at Nagpur, Australia dominated the first two days of the Delhi Test before collapsing to 113 in the second innings of the third day, losing the match by six wickets and going 0–0 in the four-Test series.
“Obviously, after the two Derry experiences, the Australians adapted to the situation and did really well. Then came the second innings and they came (to win) at 1/76,” said Kasprowicz.
“(Travis) Head and Marnus (Labuschagne) hit really well. They found their way and that’s what Australia has been known for years.”
The final test of the series will take place at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from 9th March. India must win a test to qualify for the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia, who won in Indore to earn a place in the WTC title fight.
