IPL and BBL are two of the best T20 leagues in the world. The Indian Premier League is currently the best T20 tournament on the planet, and the Big Bash League is known as the ‘grandest’ T20 league in the world.
The IPL is the world’s most profitable cricket league. Leagues are usually held during the Indian Summer season. The IPL is a boon for young uncapped cricketers who have the opportunity to play with and against their idols. This is the perfect platform to learn from the top of the industry.
The two tournaments will pit top players from different parts of the world against each other. Indian players don’t play in BBL, but many Australian cricketers do play IPL. Both tournaments have some international stars. Scoring century in the IPL or BBL is a challenge for any hitter.
Here is a list of four international batsmen who have achieved the rare feat of hitting tons in both the Indian Premier League and the Big Bash League.

BBL: 4 Players Who Have Scored Century in IPL and BBL
1. Steve Smith
Steve Smith is the latest name on this list. The right-handed hitter has lost his place in his T20 squad in Australia, but today his big bash in the ongoing league match between the Sydney Sixers and Adelaide strikers has been great. He played an innings of 101 runs and amazed the fans.
Smith played at Coffs Harbour, he scored 101 runs off 56. The 101 included five fours and seven sixers.
The Australian thug smashed his only IPL ton in 2016. He accomplished the feat while playing for Rising Pune super giants who played against Gujarat Lions at MCA Stadium. Smith’s IPL century ended in defeat but his BBL century ended in victory.
2. David Warner
David Warner is not a Big Bash League regular. Yet the left-handed opener has BBL tons to his name. In the 2011 season, he played for the Sydney Thunder against the Melbourne Stars and scored 102 runs. Warner’s knock was one of the main reasons for the team to win that match.
To date, Warner has recorded four centuries in the Indian Premier League. He scored two 100s each with former Delhi Daredevils and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
3. Chris Gayle

“Universe Boss” Chris Gayle has dominated nearly every T20 league on the planet. Gayle scored his first century with the Sydney Thunder in his 2011 Big Bash League season. His 100-run knock helped Sydney beat the Adelaide Strikers by six wickets.
Gayle’s IPL career is an amazing one with six centuries. He scored five 100s for Royal Challengers Bangalore and one for Punjab Kings.
4. Shane Watson
Former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson was one of the biggest winners in the T20 format. He was always in demand in all T20 leagues. Watson recorded his only one BBL hundred for the Sydney Thunder in the 2018–19 season, in a match against the Brisbane Heat.
Watson scored four centuries in the Indian Premier League. He cracked two 100s each for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals. His best win in the IPL came in the 2018 season finale, against SunRisers Hyderabad, where he helped CSK win the championship with his undefeated 117*.
