Virat Kohli Wicket, IND vs AUS: Former Indian captain Virat Kohli made the headlines recently when he ended his Test century drought in the fourth Test match against Australia.
Notably, Virat Kohli ended his Test century drought after three years by letting his bat do the talking in the Ahmedabad Test match against Australia in the BGT series.
Virat Kohli scored 186 runs to his name and brought up his 28th Test century. Notably, it is also his 75th international century. Meanwhile, the action shifted to the ODI series between India and Australia.
Rohit Sharma is not playing the first ODI due to family commitments. He will be back for the next two ODIs against the Australian cricket team.
Hardik Pandya took charge as the captain of the team in Rohit Sharma’s absence for the first ODI. The ODI series opener is currently being held at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The Australian cricket team were bowled out for 188 runs. Mitchell Marsh top-scored with 81 off 65 balls including 10 fours and five hits over the fence.

During India’s innings, the Indian batters fell prey to Australian bowlers inside the powerplay overs. India was reduced to 16/3 in 5 overs itself.
During the game, Mitchell Starc bowled a gem of an in-swinger and it made it tough for Virat Kohli to attend the delivery in the first place.
As it turned out, Kohli got hit on his pads. As a result, he fell prey to Mitchell Starc’s delivery. Kohli departed after scoring just 4 runs in the ODI series opener.
At the time of writing this article, India posted 116 for the loss of five wickets in 28 overs. Meanwhile, Men in Blue are the favourites to win the first ODI and draw the first blood in the series.
