IND vs AUS: Australia’s fast bowler Mitchell Starc has been one of the important pacers for the national cricket team for a long time now.
The experienced southpaw was last seen in action during the Test series against the South African cricket team. The left-arm pacer has been bowling so well for Australia, especially in red-ball cricket.
Mitchell Starc ran through an untimely injury during the Boxing Day Test match against South Africa recently. In fact, he also shed blood on his injured middle finger.
Mitchell Starc also drew plaudits for bowling despite the injury. Moreover, he also drew plaudits for his impeccable bowling display against the Proteas.
IND vs AUS: Starc was ruled out of the third and final Test against South Africa. The match took place at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney. The dead rubber ended in a draw as the rain played spoilsport on most of the days.
Meanwhile, the Australian selectors will be hoping that Mitchell Starc will recover in time to mark his presence for the Border Gavaskar Trophy series.
IND vs AUS: Meanwhile, in the latest development, it has been confirmed that Mitchell Starc has been ruled out of the first Test match against Team India.
Rohit Sharma and Co will lock horns with Pat Cummins and Co in the four-match Test series. The Test series opener begins on February 9 in Nagpur.
It is a very important Test series for Team India going forward into the ICC World Test Championship final. Team India will have to deliver a positive result from the series in order to make it to the final.

The Australian selectors do not want to push Mitchell Starc right away into the first game. He is expected to be back in action for the second Test on February 17 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi.
IND vs AUS: Mitchell Starc also provided an update regarding his injury. Talking about the same, he said, “That’s probably likely (I will miss the first Test). We’ll see how we’re placed at the end of the month,” he said.
“Hopefully, I am there for the second Test if they want to play me. Maybe I can make some footmarks for Gazza (Lyon) or something. We’ll see how the finger is,” he added.
