IND vs AUS: The ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy series between Team India and Australia looked one-sided in the first two fixtures in Nagpur and Delhi. Although the visitors had their moments, Team India had the last laugh in the battle in the first two Tests.
Rightly so, they won both games with relative ease. Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team won the Test opener by an inning and 132 runs at VCA Stadium in Nagpur.
After that, they went on to win the second Test by six wickets at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Rohit Sharma and Co got the better of Australia by six wickets in Delhi.
As a result, they took a 2-0 lead in the series. The tourists were under unreal pressure as they looked thoroughly clueless in their approach.
Needless to say, the picture changed totally in the third Test at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. Steve Smith who led the team from the front for the first time in this BGT series guided the team to a superb win.
Thus, Steve Smith became the first skipper to guide the team to two wins on Indian soil in Test cricket in the last decade. Aussies are still alive in the BGT series.
