Ravindra Jadeja ODI Comeback, IND vs AUS: Ravindra Jadeja, who returned recently in the concluded Test series, has returned to the ODI team as well. He will be in charge of the spin department for India.
KL Rahul, who missed the series against New Zealand owing to his wedding, is also back in the ODI team. After the first two Tests against Australia, Rahul was dropped from the playing XI.
Jaydev Unadkat, who sat out the Test series, made his ODI return after a 10-year gap. Axar Patel, who missed the New Zealand series owing to his wedding is also in the ODI squad.
Shreyas Iyer made his ODI return but was ruled out of the remaining three games owing to a back injury. The captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) might miss the start of the IPL 2023.

IND vs AUS: Hardik Pandya will lead team India in the first game
Due to family obligations, regular skipper Rohit Sharma will miss the first ODI at the Wankhede Stadium. Therefore all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been designated the stand-in captain for the match.
The 29-year-old all-rounder, who led Gujarat Titans to a title win in their first season in the Indian Premier League 2022 season, is already India’s current vice-captain in the shortest format.
Hardik’s every accomplishment is the consequence of his huge hard effort, which resulted in a fantastic 2022 in T20 Internationals for team India, especially in the T20 World cup.
“It has been a magical year for me, obviously (I) would have liked the World Cup to come with it. But that is part and parcel of life. We tried but it did not happen, but going forward what is next and what I want to achieve, there is a lot to achieve.”, said Hardik Pandya.

Virat Kohli eyes major milestones in the upcoming 3-match ODI series
India and Australia will begin a three-match ODI series on Friday, March 17. The majority of the key players from the Test series victory, including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel, will play in the ODI series.
All eyes will be on Virat Kohli, who will attempt to pick up where he left off in the fourth and final Test. Kohli will be eager to continue his strong form after scoring a Test century and scoring a massive score (186).
Virat Kohli is aiming for huge milestones in the series. The former India skipper is 191 runs away from becoming the fifth hitter in ODI history to reach 13,000 runs, joining Sachin Tendulkar (18426), Kumar Sangakkara (14,234), Ricky Ponting (13,704), and Sanath Jayasuriya (13,430).
Kohli also hopes to surpass Ricky Ponting in the list of hitters with the most ODI runs at home. He is presently ranked third on the list, trailing Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting.
