IND vs AUS: The Border Gavaskar Trophy series between India and Australia looked one-sided in the first two games. Although the Aussies had their moments, India had the last laugh in the battle.
As a result, they won both games with ease. India won the Test opener by an inning and 132 runs at VCA Stadium in Nagpur. After that, the hosts went on to win the second game by six wickets.
Rohit Sharma and Co beat Australia by six wickets and took a 2-0 lead in the series. Aussies were under unreal pressure as they looked thoroughly clueless.
Needless to say, things literally changed all of a sudden in the third Test at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. Steve Smith who led the team from the front for the first time in this series led the team to a superb win.

Thus, Steve Smith became the first captain to guide the team to two wins on Indian soil in Test cricket in the last decade. The fourth and final Test match will kick off on March 9.
The match will be held at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. It remains to be seen how the Indians would respond in the final Test match.
IND vs AUS: Sunil Gavaskar takes a dig at India ahead of the fourth Test
Team India will have to win the series by 3-1 in order to qualify for the ICC World Test Championship final. With a win over India in the third Test, Australia have already made it to the final.
Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer, Sunil Gavaskar took a dig at Team India ahead of the Ahmedabad Test match. He added that in the absence of key bowlers, India’s bowling lineup looks really weak.
While speaking to India Today, Sunil Gavaskar explained that with the current Indian attack, which doesn’t have Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, the line-up looks weak.
“Taking 20 wickets is not going to be easy in India. On a lot of Indian pitches, without your ace bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami and a slightly inexperienced Mohammed Siraj, I don’t think that bowling attack is such (strong),” the Indian batting icon added.
“But with a little bit of help from a dry pitch, India can probably take 20 wickets. I think that is the thinking behind preparing such pitches,” Sunil Gavaskar further added. “For India to reach the World Test Championship Final, they did not have any other options (than producing turning tracks).”
“If you would have had a strong attack, maybe you could have done something different but your strength is your spinners and therefore I think these pitches are being made. You do not want a flat pitch where the batters go out and dominate. These pitches are testing the temperament of the batters,” Gavaskar added.
