KS Bharat Drops a sitter, IND vs AUS: The ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy series between India and Australia has already seen plenty of action and drama during the passage of play.
India won the first two games and took a 2-0 lead in the series. Besides that, they also went on to retain the Border Gavaskar Trophy for the fourth straight time.
However, the Aussies made a bold statement by letting their performances weave the magic in the Indore Test match. They won the game by 9 wickets and remain alive in the series.
Meanwhile, the action shifted to the fourth Test match between India and Australia. The fourth and final Test match is currently taking place at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Australia’s interim captain Steve Smith won the toss and chose to bat first. The visitors have batted ever so well on the first day and dictated terms with the bat.
The Ahmedabad pitch has been a paradise for the batters. The balls have come nicely onto the bat, which in turn helped the batters dominate the proceedings.

During the fifth ball of the sixth over, Umesh Yadav bowled a tricky ball to Travis Head. Meanwhile, the southpaw got a thick inside edge off his bat.
As it happened, the ball went towards the wicketkeeper KS Bharat for a regulation catch. However, he dropped a sitter and took everyone by surprise. Travis Head was dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin for 32 runs.

“It’s as easy as they come. Of course in Test cricket no catch is easy. But have a look at this. Just fishing for the ball outside off stump. IN and it goes down,” Sunil Gavaskar said.
“He just got his hands in the wrong position. He got done and then he didn’t make the adjustment. It’s almost like a stubbornness in his thinking knowing that the ball should always be here. But it wasn’t,” Matthew Hayden added.
