India were coming into this game after winning against Australia in the first match. Hardik Pandya went on to win the toss and he decided to bowl first at the Wankhede Stadium.

Australia went on to hit 188 with a loss of ten wickets in the first innings. While India went on to put up 191 runs with a loss of five wickets. They won the first match against Australia by five wickets.

Ravindra Jadeja won the man of the match award against Australia. He went on to score 45 runs from 69 balls with a strike rate of 65.22.

Both teams India and Australia have gone on to face 145 times in ODI cricket. Moreover, India has won 54 times while Australia has won 81 times.

Australia went on to put up a dominating performance against India. They handed India their biggest ODI defeat in history. This has brought the series to 1-1.
