IND vs NZ: The team management may want to take advantage of India’s 21-run setback to New Zealand in the initial T20I by drafting Prithvi Shaw into the starting lineup.

Rahul Tripathi has also been unable to make an impression in the few T20I matches that have come his way. Tripathi has only allowed 40 runs, a 13.33 average, in three games.
2. Prithvi Shaw has been incredible in IPL
In the IPL, Prithvi Shaw has an outstanding proven record. In 63 IPL innings, he has a scoring rate of 147.45. He has performed at his highest ability in power play overs. Prithvi making the most of the defensive constraints.
He made a major impression during the IPL 2021 season. Shaw scored 479 runs with a mind-blowing strike rate of 159.14 and an average of nearly 32. He has a strike rate of 152.97 in 10 innings even in IPL 2022.
Shaw is renowned for his daring cricket and for attacking the defender’s bowlers right away.

3. Been in very good form at the domestic level
With 379 scores from just 383 balls against Assam including 49 boundaries and four maximums. Prithvi Shaw gained attention in the Ranji Trophy and moved into second place all-time for single-run scorers.
With 332 runs scored and a strike rate of 181.42. He was also the second-highest run-maker in the 2022–23 season of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Shaw has opportunities to play county cricket on a variety of wickets around the nation. So the squad may gain from having him in the starting XI.
