IND vs SL: Team India will lock horns with the Sri Lankan cricket team in the second T20I today at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
Earlier, Hardik Pandya and Co pulled off a thriller win over the Lankans in the first T20I. Team India beat Sri Lanka by a whisker of two runs at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
As a result, they took a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series and are gearing up for the next game. Hardik Pandya-led Indian cricket team will be looking forward to the series decider clash.
Under Hardik Pandya’s captaincy in T20Is, Team India have won as many as five games out of six games. The other game concluded in a tie (against New Zealand recently).

Deepak Hooda and Shivam Mavi were the top performers in the T20I opener against the Lankans. Hooda took the bowling attack to the cleaners by smashing 41 off just 23 balls.
He smashed one boundary and four hits over the fence during his stay at the crease as he remained unbeaten in the game. Rightly so, he was adjudged the player of the match for his fearless brand of cricket. Shivam Mavi had a fabulous debut as he took four wickets to his name.
IND vs SL: Aakash Chopra Opens Up On India’s Struggles Ahead Of Second T20I
Meanwhile, the former Indian cricketer, Aakash Chopra has now opened up on India’s struggles ahead of the second T20I against the Sri Lankan cricket team.
According to him, literally, every player gets a chance to bat, yet the team is not scoring 200+ runs in the truncated version of the game. Aakash Chopra also explained why Team India’s lower-order batsmen are getting to bat quite often on his YouTube channel.
In the first T20I, India posted 162/5 in their designated quota of 20 overs. On the other hand, Sri Lanka ended up at 160 runs and lost the game by a small margin.
It will be quite interesting to see how the Indians would approach the next game. The cricket expert also highlighted that Indian players could learn from Jos Buttler and Alex Hales on how to produce spark like they unleashed their performance in the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
“My worries are straightforward: based on the Indian team’s T20I batting over the past eight months, the hitter who is batting at No. 8 or No. 9 deserves to go first. It occurred at the World Cup, here, and previously during the Asia Cup. Everyone gets a chance to bat, and we are not getting 200 runs,” he added.
“You need to take on a bit more responsibility, as Alex Hales and Jos Buttler demonstrated against India. It goes without saying that you don’t want to play selfishly or slow down, but if you’ve gotten off to a good start and have reached 30 to 40, then make it count,” Aakash Chopra said.
