IND vs SL: India’s premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been away from cricketing action for quite a while. He was last seen playing for India during a T20I against Australia back in September 2022.
The right-arm paceman was ruled out of two important tournaments earlier. He missed Asia Cup 2022 and ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 owing to a knee injury.
Team India badly missed the pacer’s services in the previous two tournaments. The Men in Blue failed to bring the best out of themselves and ended up getting eliminated from both competitions.
Just a week ago, it was confirmed that Jasprit Bumrah was back into the mix for the ODI series against the Sri Lankan national cricket team.

Notably, the selectors also added him to the squad for the ODI series. The fans were also eagerly waiting for him to make his presence count in the ODI series.
The first of the three-match ODI series between India and Sri Lanka will kick off on January 10. Meanwhile, the venue of the game is at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
IND vs SL: Jasprit Bumrah Will Not Feature In The ODI Series Against Sri Lanka
Meanwhile, according to Cricbuzz, Jasprit Bumrah will not turn up for the three-match ODI series against the Sri Lankan cricket team. The source further added that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided not to rush Jasprit Bumrah in the first place.
It seems that Bumrah might make a comeback for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. The selectors want to keep Bumrah in good shape such that he can get ready for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023.
