IND vs SL: Team India’s chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav hasn’t been getting enough opportunities of late to represent the national cricket team.
In fact, Kuldeep Yadav has been in and out of the national reckoning. The selection committee has been chopping and changing every now and then.
Well, the BCCI wants to perform more experiments such that it selects a 15-man well-balanced squad for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 in India. However, it looks like Kuldeep Yadav’s luck is finally changing in the IND vs SL ODI series.
Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav is currently part of the ongoing second ODI against Sri Lanka. This IND vs SL game is being held at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Earlier in the IND vs SL game, Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka won the toss and opted to bat first. Avishka Fernando fell prey to Mohammed Siraj for 20 runs.
However, the Sri Lankan cricket team kept going with the help of Nuwanidu Fernando and Kusal Mendis. The pair played sensibly and tried not to take any risks in the partnership.

The duo added a 73-run stand for the second wicket before Kuldeep Yadav provided a much-needed breakthrough for the Men in Blue in the last ball of the 17th over.

Sri Lanka’s wicketkeeper-batsman, Kusal Mendis tried to defend the ball in the first place. However, as it turned out, he was beaten all ends up.
While trying to defend the ball, he ended up getting hit on his pads. The on-field umpire didn’t hesitate to raise his finger. He departed for 34 runs (3 fours, 1 six).
