IND VS SL: Indian Cricket Team cleanly sweeps the 3-match ODI series at home with a convincing 317-run victory over their neighbours from the South.

India won the toss and elected to bat first, at the Thiruvananthapuram stadium.

With the help of Virat Kohli’s 46th ODI Century, the Men in Blue set a mammoth total of 390 for Sri Lanka to chase down.

But India’s bowling attack, led by Siraj, destroyed Sri Lanka’s batting order. All-in-all, the Lankans were not even able to reach a total of 100 runs, as they got all-out at just 73. It was a record-breaking feat for the home side, here at Thiruvananthapuram, in the 3rd IND vs SL ODI.

Meanwhile, in the 18th over of Sri Lanka’s batting, something special happened. Shreyas Iyer who is known for his decent knocks up top in the Indian batting order was asked to bowl. He is a spinner, for whenever he bowls and that too is very rare.

It was the first bowl of the 18th over and Virat Kohli was placed at slips. Shreyas Iyer takes a run-up, delivers and as soon as the Kookaburra touched the turf of the pitch it spun away crazily from the Sri Lankan batsman.

Additionally, it was not just Kohli who was surprised. Even the Sri Lankan batsman, Lahiru Kumara, was caught off-guard by the spin.

Furthermore, Shreyas Iyer himself just gave a look to his teammates and just casually smiled off the whole moment. In such a one-sided contest, as this India vs Sri Lanka series has been, these moments are craved for by the viewers.
