IND VS SL: Between December 2022 and January 2023, the Indian cricket team and Sri Lanka cricket team will play three ODIs and as many T20Is. After the Bangladesh tour in December 2022, Team India will host Sri Lanka for a white-ball match.

A report states that between December 2022 and January 2023, IND VS SL will play three ODIs and the same number of T20Is. The Men in Blue will trip to Bangladesh to play a white-ball ODI series followed by a Test series after the New Zealand tour, which included three T20Is (won by India 1-0) and three ODIs (won by New Zealand 1-0).

It is noteworthy that the Indian selectors have named the team for the ODI and Test series, with Rohit Sharma is to captain the team in ODI contests. The Indian selectors have chosen a full-strength squad to play Bangladesh, despite resting a few key players from the New Zealand tour.

Sri Lanka has previously toured India in February 2022. In February–March 2022, the Sri Lankan team faced off IND VS SL in a multi-format series. In every aspect of the game, the Indians dominated the visitors. Both the T20I and Test series were won by India, 2-0 in the IND VS SL series.

In the ODIs, Rohit Sharma will captain the squad once again, and Pandya will serve as his vice-captain. For the ODIs, Kohli will also be back in action. Rishabh Pant does not appear in either squad, therefore it is unclear if he has been rested or dropped. On the other hand, Ishan Kishan has been named to both squads.
