IND vs SL: MS Dhoni might not be playing for Team India right now but his presence can still be felt through batsmen of the present era.
Not long ago, Hardik Pandya reminded us of MS Dhoni by playing a helicopter shot. Meanwhile, during the third ODI against Sri Lanka, Virat Kohli launched an MS Dhoni-Esque helicopter shot at Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram.
The former Indian captain stepped down the track and executed a perfect shot off Sri Lanka’s right-arm paceman Kasun Rajitha during the third ball of the 44th over of India’s innings.
The video clip of the same has been circulated on social media portals. Soon after hitting the shot, Virat Kohli went up to the non-striker, Shreyas Iyer and said “Mahi shot”.

The video clip perfectly captured what the run-scoring machine told Shreyas Iyer in the first place. After hitting the 97m six, Kohli fist-bumped his partner Iyer at the other end and then yelled Mahi shot.
Virat Kohli was the star of the show during the third and final ODI against Sri Lanka. He scored runs at the rate of knots and tore Sri Lanka’s bowling unit apart with such ease.
