IPL 2023: After a fantastic start to their IPL journey last year, the defending champion Gujarat Titans (GT) would be excited to begin their IPL 2023 campaign. The Hardik Pandya-led team won the IPL 2022 title with a decisive seven-wicket victory over Rajasthan Royals in the championship match. A young, bright team put on a great performance to repeatedly turn the tide and secure victories.

Before to the IPL 2023 mini-auction, the Titans kept their key players. Their 25-player lineup for the title-defending season was finalised after seven purchases were made during the auction last month.

Kane Williamson, the white-ball skipper for New Zealand, was selected as the team’s first pick after being released by Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 2 crore (SRH). The two players were selected by the Titans in the first round along with Hardik Pandya, and Shubman Gill (483 runs at a strike of 132.32).

Rashid Khan (19 wickets at an average of 22.15), rose up with encouraging performances as a young member of the team last season. Let’s look at three upcoming players from the Gujarat Titans team who could have a great season in 2019.

1. Joshua Little

At the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia, the Irish pacer caught the eye of the cricketing world with his deft ball movement. Little became the second bowler from his nation to score a hat-trick in the T20 World Cup after taking 11 wickets in seven games at an economy rate of 7.

2022 saw the second-highest number of wickets by a bowler since Tanzania’s Yalinde Nkanya, who claimed 39 in 26 T20I matches. The 23-year-old was selected for the 2022 ICC Men’s T20I team. In the IPL 2023 auction, Little was purchased by GT for INR 4.40 crore.

The Irish player’s time in the IPL will not be his first, either, since he served as CSK’s net bowler the previous season.
