IPL 2023: The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) performed admirably in the Indian Premier League during their inaugural campaign (IPL). Before being eliminated from the Eliminator, the new club finished the regular season with a third-place league standing after winning nine of its 14 games.
The team had plenty of match-winners in their squad, led by KL Rahul. They had a respectable first season and will aim to improve significantly for the IPL 2023.
If their match-winners show up, the team may have another season with a playoff push on the horizon. Who knows, one of those athletes might end up being the season’s Most Valuable Player (MVP).
Here, we examine three LSG stars who might win the IPL’s Most Valuable Player award in 2023:
IPL 2023: 3 Players Of LSG Who Might Be MVP In the Upcoming Edition of IPL
1. KL Rahul

For a few years now, KL Rahul has been one of the IPL’s most reliable run makers. The Karnataka batter took on a new challenge last year by leading a new team in the Lucknow Super Giants after winning the Orange Cap in the 2020 season with the Punjab Kings.
In each of the last three seasons, he has scored more than 600 runs, and he consistently succeeds in leaving his imprint on the competition. The LSG captain has never been a contender for the MVP title despite his excellent bat work.
Although he has the ability to contend for the championship, he will need to have another outstanding season to consistently contribute to his team’s victories.
2. Marcus Stoinis
If Marcus Stoinis, a.k.a. the Hulk, gets his groove, he can be one of the most destructive batters in the world. The all-rounder is a crucial component of his country’s team in the white-ball version and is frequently in high demand in franchise T20 leagues all over the world.
His previous season with LSG wasn’t the greatest; in 11 games, he scored only 156 runs and claimed four wickets. It goes without saying that the 33-year-old needs to increase these figures if he wants to be in the running.
He is more than capable of doing so, though. Only three Australians—Shane Watson (twice), Adam Gilchrist, and Glenn Maxwell—have previously taken home this honour. The Hulk could very well join this distinguished list if he can regain his best form.
3. Deepak Hooda

Over the past year, Deepak Hooda has consistently been a part of the National team. His performance in the IPL last season, where he made 451 runs in 15 matches at a strike rate of 136.67, was a major factor in his return to the Indian team.
The all-rounder put on some incredible displays throughout the competition while batting at number three or four in the middle order. He has also made a valuable contribution while holding the ball, and his team will look to him for more of the same at home.
If Hooda can maintain consistency in both aspects of his game, he has the potential to be the X-factor for LSG and could very well finish in the MVP competition.
