IPL 2023: When the IPL begins in a few months, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will restart their pursuit of the elusive trophy.
Although the event’s schedule has not yet been made public, the franchise has started making preparations. With players like Dinesh Karthik and late addition Avinash Singh taking part in a training camp recently.
Having kept their core squad from 2022, RCB had a low-key auction at the IPL 2023. They will try to go the entire way this time around as they have been the only team to qualify for the playoffs in each of the previous three seasons.
They have a lot of experience in the shape of Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and captain Faf du Plessis, among others, but they also have a lot of young players in their lineup. Let’s look at three youthful players who could have a breakthrough year for RCB in the upcoming campaign.

1. Mahipal Lomror
Mahipal Lomror of Rajasthan didn’t dominate the competition in IPL 2022, but he made numerous impacts on RCB’s middle order. The all-rounder only had five at-bats, but he made significant contributions against the Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), enabling his team to defeat the latter in Pune.
In IPL 2023, a position in the middle order of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) could be up for grabs. Furthermore, Lomror has the chance to demonstrate his abilities in that regard because it is still unclear whether Dinesh Karthik will be able to repeat his exploits as a finisher from last season.
An effortless spinner who plays left-handed and bowls left-arm spin is a priceless T20 asset. A successful IPL 2023 season might just help Lomror advance and even lay claim to better accolades.
2. Manoj Bhandage
Manoj Bhandage, the lone player from Karnataka in the RCB lineup, was a very wise selection during the IPL 2023 sale. It was one of the best bargains the Challengers were able to make because the hard-hitting seam-bowling all-rounder was chosen for his base price of 20 lakh.
Bhandage’s T20 strike rate of 154.66 is an accurate representation of his powerful batting abilities. He can bat left-handed, play the finisher position, and bowl effective medium-pace overs.
Given that some of their key players are on the wrong side of thirty, RCB needs to create a batting lineup for the long term. Bhandage might well become a crucial part of their nucleus in the future if he steps up and has a breakout IPL 2023 season.

3. Akash Deep
Bengal seamer Akash Deep participated in the IPL 2022 for a few matches and delivered effectively the entire time. Once a few regulars returned, he found it difficult to maintain his place in the starting XI, but he does have promise.
Given that Mohammed Siraj and Harshal Patel are RCB’s primary Indian pacers, Deep might have a difficult time cracking their starting Eleven in the IPL 2023. The 26-year-old fast bowler, however, might be given a chance if the squad decides to change up its pace combination.
However, he is no pushover with the bat either, as evidenced by his 18-ball unbeaten 53 in Bengal vs. Jharkhand’s Ranji Cup match from the previous season. Just based on his main ability as a pacer, don’t be shocked if he enjoys good outing in IPL 2023.
