IPL 2023: After Being Retained on by the Chennai Super Kings, Ravindra Jadeja Posts a Picture With MS Dhoni

IPL 2023: Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday (November 15) put all speculations to rest by retaining Ravindra Jadeja for the 2023 season.

In the last few months, various media outlets reported that Jadeja isn’t on talking terms with CSK management and is likely to join the different franchises. However, the latest development confirmed Jadeja’s stay in the franchise for another year.

Ahead of the 2022 season, MS Dhoni passed the CSK baton to Jadeja. However, the all-rounder could taste success in only two of eight games and decided to pass on this role back to Dhoni.

In 10 matches, Jadeja could garner only 116 runs and pick five wickets, which was the result of the captaincy burden. Then, he could not feature in the remaining matches due to the rib injury.

After the announcement of the retentions, Jadeja took to Twitter and shared a picture with Dhoni in CSK colours. He captained the post, as Everything is fine #RESTART.

The picture received an instant reaction from fans, as most of the cricket fraternity was doubting the bond between both cricketers.

Jadeja and Dhoni are now the core of CSK after the franchise has released Dwayne Bravo. The other notable retentions by CSK were Devon Conway, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ambati Rayudu, Moeen Ali and Deepak Chahar.
