IPL 2023: CSK will look after Ben Stokes according to McCullum
Meanwhile, England’s Test coach, Brendon McCullum echoed that Chennai Super Kings will look after Ben Stokes in the upcoming edition of the IPL.
Ben Stokes recently made the headlines after he confirmed that he will be playing for CSK in the next season. CSK signed Ben Stokes for INR 16.25 crore at the IPL 2023 mini-auction.
As it turned out, Ben Stokes became the most-expensive signing for CSK in their history. Ben Stokes has a great deal of experience in the shortest format of the game.
“I don’t think he’s jeopardizing it. The Chennai set-up is excellent in looking after their players and they have a very good medical team and he will be well looked after,” McCullum was quoted as saying by the ESPNcricinfo website.
“The skipper has a strong mind and he knows how to get right for the big moments. His life is that, right? So I don’t have any concerns,” he added.
“He sees the big picture in everything, so I’ve no concerns that the skipper will be totally looked after. And I also believe that the Ashes is the script that the skipper is waiting to write, so he’ll be sweet,” McCullum added.
