IPL 2023: Why Sam Curran’s Bid Go Too High?
One of the main draws of the IPL 2023 was Curran, who had been at his best during the T20 World Cup 2022. The all-rounder missed the previous season due to injury, but he made a brilliant comeback to international cricket. He became the first English player to ever collect five wickets in a T20I match when he did so against Afghanistan in England’s opening match of the T20 World Cup 2022.
During the 2019 IPL, he scored three goals while representing the Kings XI Punjab (now the Punjab Kings). After Yuvraj Singh and Axar Patel, he was the third player from the franchise to accomplish the feat. At the time, he scored the 18th hat trick in the IPL, assisting his team to a stunning victory over Delhi.
He was given more attention after that game, and ever since then, he has excelled in the competition both with the ball and the bat. Curran will return to the franchise where it all began for the 2018 IPL season.
