Sisanda Magala CSK, IPL 2023: Chennai Super Kings will be looking forward to performing well in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.
The yellow army is totally aware of its setbacks in the previous campaign. The four-time IPL champions failed to qualify for the playoffs as they lost 10 games.
They could win only four games and finished the IPL 2022 points table in ninth place. CSK do have all their bases covered going forward into the next season.
MS Dhoni and Co will begin their IPL 2023 campaign on March 31 as CSK will lock horns with Gujarat Titans in the tournament opener. The game will kick off at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings have roped in Sisanda Magala as a replacement for injured Kyle Jamieson. For the unversed, the South African pacer has joined the CSK franchise for INR 50 lakh.
He has played as many as four T20Is for Proteas. New Zealand international Kyle Jamieson has been ruled out of the IPL due to an injury. CSK bought him for INR 1 crore at the IPL 2023 mini-auction held in Kochi.

Sisanda Magala will be starting a new chapter at Chennai Super Kings. He will be looking forward to doing well for the yellow army in the next season.
For the record, Sisanda Magala has a wealth of experience as far as the truncated version of the game is concerned. Although he has played only four T20Is for Proteas, he is known for his knack for picking wickets.
The experienced pacer has carved out a reputation for himself as one of the top death-overs specialist in South Africa’s domestic cricket.
Moreover, he has played 127 games and has taken 136 wickets at an economy of 8.00. In 4 T20I internationals played for his country, he has taken three wickets to his name.
“Jamieson, who was ruled out of the tournament due to an injury, was bought by the franchise for INR 1 Crore. His replacement, Magala, has rich experience in the shortest format of the game,” the IPL mentioned in a statement.
“Though he has played just 4 T20Is for South Africa, Magala has a reputation for being a regular wicket-taker in domestic T20 games over the years. He will join CSK at his base price of INR 50 Lakh,” IPL said in a statement.
