IPL 2023: Five Players Who Can Take the Place of Prasidh Krishna in the Rajasthan Royals Team

IPL 2023: The fifteenth edition of the Indian Premier League came to a destiny with Gujarat Titans on the top. The 2 month season which started on March 26 arrived at closure on May 29 at the recently built Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India. 

It was a bewitching season with two pristine teams entering the fold in the Indian Premier League. There was so much buildup around the evolution of the IPL with the inclusion of two distinctive teams.

The two fresh teams, Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans did not disabuse us as they went on to set on a tremendous skit. Lucknow Super Giants succeeded in the playoffs while Gujarat Titans held up the IPL trophy.

Gujarat Titans proceeded on to win the IPL trophy in their maiden IPL season. This is a superfluity for teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Delhi Capitals who have existed here since the advent but could not lift the trophy for a single point.

While major teams like Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians played their shoddiest season in the IPL. Mumbai Indians went on to round out up in the last position with eight points in 14 games while Chennai Super Kings closed up in the second-last position.

They too could hold on to only eight points in 14 games. For different teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Delhi Capitals, this was yet another forgettable season like the typical times.

The 26-year-old fast bowler from Karnataka has made quite an impact in the domestic circle this season. Vijaykumar Vyshak has picked up 31 wickets in 8 Ranji Trophy matches. He also took 15 wickets in 8 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy matches.

Vasuki Koushik

Vasuki Koushik has gone on to pick up 37 wickets in 20 List-A matches with an average of 14.81. He also picked up 18 wickets in nine matches with an economy rate of 2.70 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Varun Aaron

Varun Aaron comes up with a lot of experience and potential. He was part of Gujarat Titans last season. Varun Aaron has 167 wickets in 63 first-class games with an average of 32.82. He can create havoc with his pace if the line and length are correct.

Dhawal Kulkarni

Dhawal Kulkarni has been doing well for Mumbai in domestic circles. However, he has not clicked yet in the Indian Premier League despite being here for a long time. Dhawal Kulkarni could do well as a temporary replacement for Prasidh Krishna.

Sandeep Sharma

Sandeep Sharma started his IPL career with a strong performance. However, he has fallen out of favor after a rough patch. But Sandeep Sharma and Rajasthan Royals could do well with the opportunity presented to each other.
