Is Mitchell Starc also Injured?
According to Mitchell Starc, the nature of the injury may result in a more extended recovery period and delay his return to the field.
Starc stated that the injury might impact his availability for the upcoming tour of India, saying, “India’s the next big tour, and we’ll see where the timeframe is with that. It’s my bowling hand, so I’ve got to be careful and make sure it heals properly.”
He added that Cameron Green, who is also dealing with a finger injury, is expected to recover more quickly due to the differences in the healing process for bones and tendons. Both players are expected to consult the same specialist for their injuries.
The third Test between Australia and South Africa will take place at the Sydney Cricket Ground on January 4, followed by three One Day International matches.
