IPL 2023: The fifteenth edition of the Indian Premier League came to an end with Gujarat Titans on the top. The 2 month season which began on March 26 came to closure on May 29 at the newly built Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India.
It was a glamorous season with two new teams joining the fold in the Indian Premier League. There was so much buildup around the expansion of the IPL with the inclusion of two unique teams.
The two new teams, Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans did not disenchant us as they went on to put on an outstanding skit. Lucknow Super Giants achieved the playoffs while Gujarat Titans raised the IPL trophy.
Gujarat Titans went on to win the IPL trophy in their maiden IPL season. This is an amenity for teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Delhi Capitals who have existed here since the beginning but could not lift the trophy for a single moment.

While major teams like Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians played their poorest season in the IPL. Mumbai Indians went on to wrap up in the last position with eight points in 14 games while Chennai Super Kings wrapped up in the second-last position.
They too could hold on to only eight points in 14 games. For different teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Delhi Capitals, this was yet another forgettable season like the normal times .
