The Royals got the better of Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2008 final to win the maiden title. However, since then, they failed to make it to the final till IPL 2021 season.
Ever since winning the title in the inaugural edition, they failed to qualify for the playoffs in the next five seasons. They made it to the playoffs in the IPL 2013 season by finishing third on the table.
They failed to qualify for playoffs in IPL 2014 season but somehow made it to the playoffs in IPL 2015 season. In the next two seasons, they once again failed to qualify for the playoffs. The Rajasthan Royals made it to the playoffs in IPL 2018. In the next three seasons, they failed to do so.
However, they made it to the final in IPL 2022 season but lost to Gujarat Titans in the final. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals coach Sangakkara will continue to serve as Director of Cricket and head coach.
Rajasthan Royals coach Kumar Sangakkara is one of the big names in the cricket fraternity. He will be looking forward to bringing the best out of his players in the next season. It is going to be a huge challenge for Rajasthan Royals coach Sangakkara and his players in the next season.

Apart from retaining Rajasthan Royals coach Sangakkara, the Royals retained the services of John Gloster (head physio), Dr Rob Young (team doctor), and AT Rajamani Prabhu (strength and conditioning coach).
On the other hand, the inaugural IPL champions have also appointed Mon Brokman as their mental performance coach. Besides that, they also recruited Neil Barry as the assistant physio.
On the contrary, Sri Lankan legend Lasith Malinga will continue to serve as a fast bowling coach whereas Zubin Bharucha will continue as the strategy, development, and performance director.
Giles Lindsay will operate as head of analytics and technology. On the other hand, Siddhartha Lahiri will continue to ply his trade as a support coach whereas Dishant Yagnik will continue to work as the fielding coach.
