IPL Auction 2023: The Kochi mini-auction for the Indian Premier League 2023 takes center stage as 405 players are auctioned off. From the initial list of 991 players, the 10 teams shortlisted a total of 369 players. A total of 405 players will be offered at the IPL 2023 Auction after 36 more players were requested by clubs and added to the final list.
Since almost all franchises have kept their core teams, star players from around the world including Ben Stokes, Sam Curran, Cameron Green, and Mayank Agarwal are anticipated to draw significant bids in the mini-auction.
Sunrisers Hyderabad, who recently released Kane Williamson, will enter the auction with the largest budget, having Rs 42.25 crore to spend. They also plan to recruit a player who can serve as the team’s captain. While Kolkata Knight Riders, two-time IPL champions, have the lowest payout of Rs 7.05 crore.

Stokes was eventually acquired by the MS Dhoni-led franchise for Rs 16.25 crore, the third-highest IPL purchase price ever.
