The excitement is building up, as we are near to the much-awaited mini-auction(IPL Auction 2023) for the Indian Premier League 2023 season.

All the 10 franchises in the tournament announced their retained and released players ahead of the mini-auction. The teams like Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders released 10+ players apiece.

Out of the released players, some were dropped due to their non-performance, team combinations and personal reasons. Players like Alex Hales, Pat Cummins and Sam Billings opted out of the 2023 season to focus on their other commitments.

SRH have the purse amount of 42.25 Crore left, which is the highest among the franchises. They are followed by Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giant with 32.2 Crore and 23.35 Crore respectively.

IPL Auction 2023 Date & Time

The mini-auction is slated to take place on December 23 in Kochi. No announcement has been made regarding time, but the general proceedings start at 11:00 AM IST.

The released players along with the key international players will make their appearance in the auction. A few of them are Ben Stokes, Sam Curran and Cameron Green.
