Captains of all IPL teams, IPL 2023: The Indian Premier League is all set to enter its next edition. IPL 2023 is all set to begin on March 31st at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India. 

Cricket like any other sport relies a lot on the quality of leadership. Captainship is one of the most vital parts of the team as it leads from the front in terms of leadership.

Gujarat Titans – Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya led the Gujarat Titans in their first IPL season and also brought the trophy. There is no surprise that the Gujarati-speaking lad will lead his team once again.

Rajasthan Royals – Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson has been not only leading from the front in terms of leadership, but he is also doing brilliantly for Rajasthan Royals with the bat. He scored 458 runs in 17 IPL games last season.

Faf du Plessis will be leading Royal Challengers Bangalore in the second season of his in the red color. He was quite impressive as the captain of RCB last season.

Delhi Capitals – Unknown

Delhi Capitals received a huge blow after Rishabh Pant’s accident. The Delhi born is ruled out for 8 months and with the fresh David Warner injury, it remains to be seen who will captain Delhi Capitals.

Punjab Kings – Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan will be leading the charge for Punjab Kings as Mayank Agarwal has joined Sunrisers Hyderabad. It will be interesting to see how Punjab Kings perform under Shikhar Dhawan.

Sunrisers Hyderabad – Unknown

Kane Williamson was previously captaining Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL last season. However, he was released and Sunrisers Hyderabad hasn’t decided on the position yet. It is likely that either Mayank Agarwal or Aiden Markram will get it.

Chennai Super Kings – MS Dhoni

Legendary cricketer MS Dhoni will be leading Chennai Super Kings for one last time this season. Reports suggest he may also hand over the responsibilities to Ben Stokes during mid-season.

Mumbai Indians – Rohit Sharma

Indian captain Rohit Sharma will be leading Mumbai Indians into IPL 2023. He will be looking to take his team into the Top 4 after a diabolical last season where they finished last.
