Suryakumar Yadav came up with a honest statement about his batting after the three-match T20I series came to a close on November 22 (Tuesday) in Napier.

He was adjudged the man of the series award for his impeccable batting display in the second T20I. It will be quite interesting to see how he would perform in the ODI series.

After receiving the man of the series award, Suryakumar Yadav said that his intent and approach will remain the same and that he will keep expressing the game by enjoying his batting.

“Really happy with the way things have gone till now, would have loved a full game here but as Siraj said the weather is not in our hands. The pressure is always there and at the same time I’m enjoying my batting, just going there and expressing myself.

“Not carrying any baggage out there. The intent and approach will remain the same. We can just go out and express ourselves, would have loved a full game, but that’s fine,” Suryakumar Yadav said after the match.

Shikhar Dhawan will lead the Indian team for the three-match ODI series. The first ODI between India and New Zealand will kick off at Eden Park, Auckland on November 25.
