NZ vs SL, Finn Allen: New Zealand cricket team are facing the Sri Lanka cricket team in the first match on Saturday, March 25. Moreover, the game is being played at Eden Park in Auckland, New Zealand.

New Zealand are coming into this game after winning against Sri Lanka in the second test match on Monday. Dimuth Karunaratne won the toss and he decided to bowl first at Basin Reserve.

The Kiwis went on to score 580 runs with a loss of four wickets in the first inning. Sri Lanka scored 164 and 358 runs respectively in the first and second inning. New Zealand won the match by an inning and 58 runs.

Henry Nicholls won the man of the match award against Sri Lanka. He went on to score 200 runs from 240 balls with a strike rate of 83.33.

Dhananjaya de Silva went on to score 98 runs against New Zealand. While he did so from 185 balls with a strike rate of 52.97. Dhananjaya de Silva hit 12 fours and 1 six.

Both teams New Zealand and Sri Lanka have gone on to face 99 times in ODI cricket. Moreover, New Zealand have won 49 times while Sri Lanka have won 41 times.

Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka won the toss and he decided to bowl first. New Zealand put up a balanced display with the bat against Sri Lanka. They are currently sitting at 227 runs with a loss of six wickets in 42 overs.

Kasun Rajitha bowled a brilliant bowl as Finn Allen got beaten by it. However, the ball touched the stumps but the bails didn’t fall. Kasun Rajitha and Dasun Shanaka look shocked.
