NZ vs SL: Gush of wind: New Zealand national cricket team led by Tim Southee performed superbly well in the two-match Test series against the Sri Lankan cricket team.
The New Zealand cricket team drew the first blood in the series by beating Sri Lanka by 1 wicket. Kane Williamson scored a brilliant century in the run-chase.
New Zealand pulled off the greatest win in their Test cricket history as the game was decided on the last ball of Day 5 of the first Test at Hagley Oval in Christchurch.
Meanwhile, the second Test between New Zealand and Sri Lanka took place at Basin Reserve, Wellington. New Zealand won by an inning and 58 runs.
As a result, they inflicted a 2-0 whitewash on the Lankans. Henry Nicholls was named the man of the match whereas Kane Williamson was named the player of the series.
During Day 5 of the second Test, an interesting incident happened which took everyone by surprise. A gush of wind drifted the ball far away from the batsman.
The commentators were taken aback upon watching the replay of the ball drifting massively from the batsman. The incident happened when Michael Bracewell bowled the delivery and it did drift away due to extremely high winds in Wellington.

Now that the Test series has come to a close, there is more action to follow as these two teams will lock horns with each other in a three-match ODI series and a three-match T20I series.
The first ODI between New Zealand and Sri Lanka will begin on March 25, Saturday at Eden Park in Auckland. It will be interesting to see which team will take the first lead in the series.
