PSL 2023, Babar Azam: Lahore Qalandars were facing Peshawar Zalmi in the T20 match on Friday, March 17. Moreover, the game was being played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan.
Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam won the toss and he decided to bat first at the Gaddafi Stadium. They were off to a challenging start in the Pakistan Super League match on Friday.
Saim Ayub was out for 9 runs from 5 balls. While Babar Azam was out for 42 runs from 36 balls with a strike rate of 116.67. Tom Kohler-Cadmore was out for 0 from 2 balls in the T20 match.
Mohammad Haris went on to score 85 runs from 54 balls with a strike rate of 157.41. Peshawar Zalmi put up a score of 171 runs with a loss of five wickets against Lahore Qalandars.

Lahore Qalandars lost their first wicket in the form of Fakhar Zaman for six runs. They went on to put up 176 runs with a loss of six wickets. Lahore Qalandars won the T20 match by four wickets.
Mirza Tahir Baig won the man of the match award against Peshawar Zalmi. He went on to score 54 runs from 42 balls with a strike rate of 128.57.
PSL 2023: Shaheen Afridi provides emotional support to Babar Azam
Lahore Qalandars put up an excellent effort to qualify for the final match by winning against Peshawar Zalmi. Their batting unit did well after the early setback.
Babar Azam was visibly unhappy and down after the semi-final defeat. That is when Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi lent emotional support to Babar Azam.
