Afghan leg spinner Rashid Khan will be looking for a special record on the field for the Adelaide Strikers during their BBL 12 match against the Melbourne Stars at Adelaide Oval. Rashid aims to be the fastest bowler to reach the 100 BBL wickets milestone.
Rashid Khan is one of the greatest players ever to have played in this contest. He’s definitely going to hit the milestone because he’s way better than the rest of the players on the list. Khan has only 3 gates left to reach the milestone.
Rashid made his BBL debut in 2007. Since then he has played for the Adelaide Strikers every season. He has played 66 matches so far. He has got 97 wickets for the team and has a 6.35 economy. Perth Scorchers’ Pacer AJ Ty was the fastest to reach 100 BBL wickets, finishing the target in 72 games.
Rashid Khan said he was just three wickets away from reaching the milestone, which he hopes to achieve in his Adelaide Oval match against Melbourne on New Year’s Eve against the Stars. Since Melbourne are struggling in the batting part, there will be a great opportunity for leg spinners.
Rashid said it would be a dream for him to reach the milestone at the Adelaide Oval. He also feels that the home stadium will always be great for the team and the atmosphere will be special. However, he said his priority is helping the team win games as the Strikers have been losing the last few games.
“If I got that three wickets, it would be more than a dream come true for me,” said Rashid Khan.
“In my mind, if I have taken wickets in the last 3 or 4 games it will be 97, 98, 99, and so on. increase.”
“We always have a lot of spectators and support, so I think it will feel special to take your 100th wicket of mine on New Year’s Eve.”

to reach 100 wickets, beating Sri Lanka pacesetter Lasith Malinga’s record. He is the second fastest to reach his 100 T20 wickets, just behind DJ Bravo.
Being No.2 in the world, the T20 bowler poses a threat with the ball. Yet he never slouches with the bat and has saved his team several times with fireworks.
He’s the lifeblood of the field and his impressive ability has made him a must-have in one of the most competitive leagues in the world.
He has his sights set on the milestone of being the fastest in the tournament by 100 wickets. Despite the target, he also emphasizes enjoying the game and continues contributing to the team’s cause.
