It looks like Real Madrid will be busy in the summer. According to Marca, Los Blancos have opened talks for Jude Bellingham. The report states that Real Madrid have opened talks directly with Borussia Dortmund.
The Spanish side are said to be happy with the progress of the deal. They enjoy a good relationship with the German giants as well. However, they don’t want to make details public about the approach.
But there are concerns over the deal. The likes of Paris Saint Germain and Manchester are also interested in the Englishman. While Liverpool are keen to hold talks for the 19 years old as well.
Despite this competition, Real Madrid have other ideas over the deal. They want Bellingham to push for a move to Santiago Bernabeu. Also, Real Madrid are not keen on a bidding war, thus they want the youngster to push for a move.
Why does Real Madrid want Bellingham?
The Englishman had his breakthrough with Birmingham City when he was 15 years old. That earned him a move to Borussia Dortmund. At Signal Induda Park, he has been given plenty of opportunities to grow as a player.
Bellingham has used those opportunities to make a name for himself. Even Pep Guardiola once admitted that the player was too good for his age. However, these are not the only reasons behind the chase.
The Borussia Dortmund midfielder’s long-term potential is the reason why Real Madrid wants him. He is seen as a long-term replacement for Luka Modric in the middle of the park. In other words, he is seen as a long-term investment.
Real Madrid wants to invest in him now so that they can enjoy the benefits in the future. A midfield of Aurélien Tchouaméni, Fede Valverde, and Jude Bellingham in their prime looks like an exciting prospect already. Also, Bellingham could be another mini galactico for Real Madrid.

Will Real Madrid be able to sign Bellingham?
Other media reports have indicated that the 19 years old wants to move to Bernabeu. Los Blancos are considered to be the pinnacle of one’s football career. However, just at the age of 19, that move could be too soon for the Englishman. Also, despite being English he is yet to play in the Premier League.
A return to England might also be tempting for the teenager. The chance to play for a manager like Pep Guardiola or Jurgen Klopp is once in a lifetime opportunity. Many top players in the past have found it hard to refuse Guardiola or Klopp. Thus Bellingham might consider the Premier League as well.
On the other hand, a big hurdle will be Dortmund’s fees. In recent years they have fought tooth and nail to keep their players. This season as well, they would want to keep the Englishman. Although they understand he will leave soon but they won’t allow him to go for cheap.
A huge price tag also might turn away Florentino Perez. Also, his performances at the World Cup have raised his stock. The report from Marca has already stated that Los Blancos don’t want to overpay for the youngster as well.
