Indian wicketkeeping-batsman Rishabh Pant gets a surprise visit from Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina, and Sreesanth ahead of the upcoming season of IPL 2023. The 25-year-old is currently recovering from fatal injuries he suffered in a car accident in December 2022.

Rishabh Pant will not be featuring in the upcoming major events such as IPL 2023, WTC Final, and ODI World Cup 2023. On December 30 of last year, Pant was in a devastating car crash and although he miraculously survived, he sustained injuries to his head, back, and feet.

Earlier, Pant, shared some pictures of himself walking with the aid of crutches along with an uplifting caption. In his post, Pant wrote, “With every step, I am making progress. With every step, I am becoming stronger. With every step, I am getting better.”

The Capitals’ regular skipper has been meeting with many popular personalities while in a state of recovery. He has been getting a lot of uplifting messages on social media as well.

Pant was in for a pleasant surprise on Saturday, March 25 when three Indian cricketers, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, and Sreesanth paid him a visit at his home. The trio visited the young player to meet him and offer their support.

Raina took to Instagram to share a picture of their meeting. He wrote a touching caption expressing his best wishes for Pant’s quick recovery. The CSK veteran wished Pant well and added that he was confident the young player would soon “rise like phoenix”.

Earlier, the famous Bollywood singer, Randhawa, had paid a visit to the wicketkeeper-batter. David Warner will be leading the DC in the absence of Rishabh Pant, with Axar Patel serving as his deputy.

The team is gearing up to start its campaign in the upcoming IPL 2023 season. They will be facing the Lucknow Super Giants in their first match on April 1st.

In an event, Ponting said Pant was the heart and soul of the franchise and as a tribute to him, the team management is contemplating wearing his jersey number on their shirts or caps.
