Rohit Sharma became the seventh Indian batsman to reach 17,000 international runs. He achieved the feat in the fourth Test between India and Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
In the first hour of day 3, Rohit Sharma got out on 35, sending one straight to the short cover fielder in Matthew Kuhnemann’s over. He looked devastated after wasting a good chance to score big in Ahmedabad.
In 241 ODI international games, the right-handed opener has scored 9782 runs, which is more than half of the total runs he has scored. He has 3853 runs in 148 T20Is, sitting second in the list of the most T20I runs of all time.

With almost 1700 runs in 22 Tests since the start of the World Test Championship in 2019, he has been India’s leading scorer. In addition, he is India’s leading run-scorer in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
In the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Rohit Sharma was the only batter from both sides to hit a century in the first three Tests. Rohit displayed his greater ability to play spin on rank-turners.
After his heroics in the first game, India led the series 2-0 before losing the third Test in Indore. Australia scored 480 runs in the first innings of the fourth Test at Ahmedabad.

IND vs AUS: Rohit Sharma becomes angry as a spectator creates trouble near the sight screen

Team India captain Rohit Sharma was furious with a spectator who appeared in the sight screen area near the end of the second day of play in the Ahmedabad Test.
He was heard shouting ‘hata usko’ (remove him) as he tried to focus on his batting. Fortunately, Rohit did not lose focus before stumps on Day 2 of the last Test match of the BGT.
India is looking solid on day 3 of the last Test match of the Border-Gavaskar trophy. At the lunch time, the score reads 129-1. Rohit Sharma got out on 35 runs before the lunch break.
The result of the game will depend upon how India plays on day 3. India could easily qualify for the finals of the World Test Championship if they manage to win the game.
