SA20 Commissioner Graeme Smith thinks the inclusion of Indian players in the league, would incite added interest among fans.

The inaugural edition of the SA20 is slated to take place from January 10 to February 11. Amid tough dates of T20 leagues, the Graeme Smith-led tournament will have the presence of proven overseas performers like Rashid Khan, Liam Livingstone and Sam Curran.

All the top players of South Africa, including Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, David Miller, and Tabraiz Shamsi will mark their presence in SA20. It will be the biggest-ever T20 league in the country, with all six franchises owned by the IPL teams.

However, Graeme Smith rues the absence of Indian players due to BCCI’s stance on the overseas leagues. No active Indian cricketer can take part in the T20 or T10 leagues around the world.
