Shaheen Afridi Ruled Out of Action for Next Few Months Due to Knee Injury

Pakistan bowling spearhead Shaheen Afridi is set to miss the next few series due to aggravating knee injury, which again came to fore in the T20 WC 2022 final.

Afridi came into the tournament after a rehabilitation for his knee injury in London. Due to this, he missed the Netherlands series and the Asia Cup as well.

In his first appearance in the T20 WC against India, Afridi did not look match-fit and conceded runs in the death overs. However, the left-arm pacer gradually picked up the form and picked consistent wickets.

In a must-win fixture against Bangladesh, the 22-year-old finished with figures of 4/22 and helped the Men in Green to reach the knockouts. In the semi-finals against New Zealand, the left-armer conceded only 24 and took two wickets.
