Sourav Ganguly praises Shubman Gill: Sourav Ganguly believes Gill has made a strong case for a permanent spot in India’s Test team. “He has been brilliant in the last six-seven months. What else does he need to do? He’s a permanent player now,” Ganguly said.
The Border Gavaskar Trophy not only ensured India’s qualification for the ICC World Test Championship final. The series also hinted at what Shubman Gill could bring to the club in the future.
In 2023, Gill has already achieved an ODI double-century, a T20I hundred, and his second Test tonne after replacing KL Rahul as an opener in the fourth Test against Australia in Ahmedabad.
India defeated Australia 2-1 to retain the Border Gavaskar Trophy, their fourth straight Test series victory over them dating back to 2017.
