In a few nights, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 will begin. Gujarat Titans vs. Chennai Super Kings in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Complex will serve as the curtain-raiser for the 16th season of the league on March 31.
All squads will benefit greatly from the return of the home-and-away layout since home fans will undoubtedly motivate them and foster the best in them.
The league’s arrangements are well underway. Before the league, all of the players had joined their current clubs and begun working hard. As in all previous seasons, it will be a blockbuster version as all 10 teams are anticipated to put in their best effort and provide fans with hours of excitement.
When Australian batsman Steve Smith chose not to enter his name for the IPL 2023 bidding, many eyes were raised. Mostly everyone desired him to be a part of the league, but there were a few disappointed expressions as well.
But, their hope will come true because the batsman will play in the 16th league season.
Smith will participate in the IPL 2023, but not where many people had anticipated. The league’s analysis team will include the top Australian hitter. He shared the good news in a video that he published on his social media accounts.
He did not, however, disclose that he will provide analysis for the league. Yet several reliable sources have indicated that the broadcasting division will include the batter. Addressing the clip, he expressed his excitement to announce his participation in the IPL 2023 and his membership in a dedicated and exciting squad.
Smith, in particular, has competed for four teams in the league, including the Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, Pune Warriors India, and Rising Pune Supergiants. He failed to sell at the IPL 2022 bidding and opted not to enter his name this year.
Smith has scored 2485 runs in 103 IPL games with an aggregate and scoring rate of 34.51 and 128.09. In addition to this, he has amassed 11 fifties and 1 hundred during his journey.
IPL 2023 will be televised in up to 7 different languages. Star Sports has assembled a stellar commentary team. The 16th league edition’s commentators are listed below: The addition of Steve Smith is notable.
