The star batsman has been rested for the Bangladesh tour by the Indian team management. Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav wants to keep himself engaged in the sport.
He also informed the selectors of the Mumbai cricket team that he is available to take part in the Ranji Trophy. Surya will be looking forward to making his presence count in the Ranji Trophy.
“Surya has informed us that he will be available for the second Ranji Trophy game. The selection committee today picked the squad for the first Ranji Trophy game (Vs Andhra) which will be led by Ajinkya Rahane,” MCA honorary secretary Ajinkya Naik told The Indian Express.
Surya made his first-class cricket debut against Gujarat in the year 2010. Since then, he has aggregated 5326 runs from 77 matches. Moreover, he has maintained a superb batting average of 44.01.
The star batter has represented the Indian cricket team in 16 ODIs and 42 T20Is so far. He has scored 384 runs in ODIs whereas he aggregated 1408 runs in the shortest format of the game.
