Sunil Gavaskar: First of all, Sunil Gavaskar was a legendary and renowned Indian batsman. He has recently shown his admiration for new players rising through the ranks in Indian cricket.
The bold style of cricket that players like Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan play are evident by the double hundreds they score at such an early age.
Gavaskar believes that these young people are less courageous. They are unafraid of being cut from the national Indian cricket team.
He believes that these athletes are aware that if they finish one successful IPL season. They will be considered again for national consideration.

Here is what Sunil Gavaskar had to say well about youthful talent in Indian cricket in an article he published for Mid-Day:
“Since they have the safety net of an IPL agreement. They are not concerned about getting let go from the national squad.
When disqualification from the national squad is not a concern, a player may play bindaas cricket because the IPL has at least 14 games. That can be played to distract people from the international shortcomings.”
Indian Cricket Team: Sunil Gavaskar offers aspiring Indian batsmen some insightful advice:
Sunil Gavaskar believes Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan should not let their achievement get to their heads. And should feel at ease after playing such fantastic innings to bring their individual double-hundreds.
“The Batsmen Scored Two double centuries in one-day international matches in the past month or so. Both of the innings were outstanding performances by young players with a bright future and a tonne of assurance.
People are in their early twenties, therefore it is totally up to them how they want to spend their future.
After these incredible strokes, would they remain grounded or will they get so enamored with the game? That they believe all they need to do is show up at the pitch and the scores will come easily?”
Despite the fact that Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan are now riding high and still have a long way to go. Sunil Gavaskar has warned them against becoming complacent in the wake of their performance twin double century.
The India great praised the fearlessness of today’s team’s young players. And said that it results from the truth that cricketers have other forums to represent themselves. The most well-known of which is the Indian Premier League.
Gavaskar thinks that Gill and Ishan’s success in the IPL would prevent memories of disappointments at the international level from being erased.
