Virat Kohli Anushka Sharma, IND vs AUS: In the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 decider on Sunday, former Indian skipper Virat Kohli scored a match-altering century against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium, breaking his streak of not scoring a century. This came in a match that is crucial for India as a win is necessary for them to qualify for the World Test Championship 2023 final.
Kohli had struggled to score a single half-century in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy prior to the fourth Test against Australia, embracing a slump in the second ICC World Test Championship. Kohli scored his first century of the 2023 season on Saturday, regaining his best form in the series finale. He for sure would be ecstatic to find his form back after a long drought that spanned over 3 years.
The former captain extended his patient innings on Day 4 of the fourth Test match and reached triple-digit figures before the end of the second session. Kohli scored his 28th Test century at the world’s largest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad, snapping a 12-day streak in which he had not scored a century in the game’s longest and oldest format.
During the fourth Test match against Steve Smith‘s men, Virat Kohli dedicated his special knock to his wife Anushka Sharma to commemorate the monumental achievement.

Kohli scored his last century in 2019 against Bangladesh, prior to his batting masterclass against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy decider.
With one day left to go, India has to pump their gas and bowl out Australia fast enough if they wish to have a chance at winning the match.
At the Asia Cup last year, Kohli scored his first century in 1,020 days. The Indian run-machine had also won the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia as the top run-getter. In One Day Internationals (ODIs), Kohli scored three centuries, including stunning scores of 113 and 166* against Sri Lanka in January.
