Virender Sehwag Continues to Provide Education for Pulwama Attack Martyr’s Kids

Virender Sehwag is a renowned former Indian opening batsman who was known for his fearless batting style which helped him achieve big results for the team and himself.

After retirement from international cricket in the year 2013, Virender Sehwag has been active in the commentary box and also feature in many shows as an expert.

Apart from his career as a commentator or an expert, the former Indian batsman is making his fortune in the field of providing education through his school chain Sehwag International School.

Sehwag International School was founded in the year 2011 with the aim of providing quality education and making students better global citizens.

On February 14, 2019, a car filled with IED explosives exploded near a Central Reserve Police Forces convoy that was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu which killed 40 Indian soldiers.

The attack saw many celebrities and also citizens providing helping hands to the families of soldiers who died in that terror attack. Virender Sehwag was also among the people who provided help. Sehwag made a promise to provide free education in his school for every child who lost their father in the attack which was welcomed by every Indian.

Sehwag said, “Nothing we can do will be enough, but the least I can do is offer to take complete care of the education of the children of our brave CRPF jawans martyred in Pulwama in my Sehwag International School. Saubhagya hoga.”

On the 1st anniversary, he tweeted, “Today marks one year since the terrible Pulwama Attack on our brave jawans. Naman to all of them. In this pic are Batsman – Arpit Singh s/o Pulwama Shaheed Ram Vakeel & Bowler-Rahul Soreng s/o Pulwama Shaheed Vijay Soreng. Very privileged to have them study in my @SehwagSchool.”

Apart from Virender Sehwag, Some Indian players including Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, and Shikhar Dhawan also offered their sympathy to the families of the CRPF personnel who were killed that day. Prominent names from sports like Saina Nehwal, Sushil Kumar, Babita Phogat, and Geeta Phogat expressed their condolences and prayed for the soul of the 42 CRPF personnel.
